Just wanted to put this out there for the AP Group I think we all agree that Asbury Park is a city in transition and that many improvements are needed on a number of fronts. But some times we get so focused on which restaurants are opening and closing, crime, the parking issues, the city government, etc, that we miss little news stories that highlight some of the good things that happen in town. On Saturday, Asbury Park High's football team beat Florence 42-18 to win the Group 1 championship our team may be smaller than most others it plays against and usually outnumbered, but the heart, soul, and passion of this team is incredible (it was especially touching to see the kids holding up the photo of John Key their coach who was killed earlier this season out of love and respect for someone who tried to make a difference with these kids). Our city can be proud of.
