Hi Anoop

I'm sorry that it's taken me a couple of days to get back to you. I think you'd be a good match for the proposed topic. Basically the idea for this is to assume ideal mixing behaviour for multi-component mixtures, as described in the Sandler textbook. There is quite a bit of architecture (data structures, C-based 'classes', etc) not yet implemented in FPROPS, so we're hoping to work with somehone with the necessary experience with C and data structures etc, but also experienced in the relevant theory. Hopefully you'll be that person! Give us your further thoughts, and also hopefully we'll receive your proposal via the GSOC site.

Cheers
JP

Hello John,
I am Anoop Shukla, a final year Mechanical Engineering undergrad from BITS Pilani, India. I saw the project '*Ideal mixture support for FPROPS*'listed. The project requirements are in accord with my skills and I would love to contribute to the same. I am proficient in Java and C and have already completed curriculum courses in '/Engineering Thermodynamics/'.

There are a few questions that I need you to help me on. They are as follows:

  * Do I have to support all the related theories (if present) for
solving the problems? If yes then, is there any way that the
software can automatically detect an appropriate theory to solve
    the problems?
  * Can I get some more insights about the project?

If it is possible for you we can discuss some moreaspects here and I am willing to contribute and learn in the process as well.

Thanks,
Anoop Shukla
