I would very much like to see the straight up / unify of the backend
output mechanism. I have proposed that AsciiDoc produces wiki output
previously, IIRC, the feedbacks were that it was too difficult. If
there is a central place for unify output backend, I might be able to
scratch the itch myself even if I don't know Python.
