Peter Graves hadn't sent me back the patch he was using to run ASDF 2 on XCL. I merged it, and fixed its support for subdirectories, which I refactored a bit. See 2.014.2.
While testing on a lot of platforms, found glaring bug in GCL that I'm not going to try to fix because the compiler itself is broken -- I'm declaring GCL dead and unsupported until someone cares to actively maintain it.
