Dan,

No, the user isn't working offline. At the point in the process where this problem
occurs, the user has been interecting with our Web server for at least a couple of
minutes, and our Web server has pushed several pages to his browser.

One thing I didn't mention is that the problematic "Submit" button is on a PDF form,
not an HTML form. I realize that this is an important piece of info, but I omitted it
from my first post on purpose because I didn't want to muddy the waters with a lot of
details. As you might know, there is a way of setting up a PDF form so that its form
data is submitted in the same manner in which HTML form data is submitted, and that is
how this particular PDF form is set up.

Only thing I can think of is: Is the user "working offline" in IE? If so it'll be
using the locally cached version of the file.

Subject: Spam: [AspClassicAnyQuestionIsOk] URL in browser windows specifies local
machine instead of Web server

A user of our Web-based print-on-demand system clicks a "Submit" button on a form in
his Web browser. The "Action" URL specifies an HTML file on our Web server. For most
users, this works fine: the HTML page is displayed in the user's browser, and the URL
in the browser's "Address" window specifies the HTML file's location on our Web server
- for example:

    http://www.ourserver.com/someFile.htm

However, for one of our users, when he clicks the "Submit" button, the URL in the
"Address" window in his browser specifies a location on his own computer - for example:

  C:\Documents and Settings\Brad_S\Local Settings\Temp\pa026082.htm

Why is this happening? This is a problem because the HTML page contains links that
are relative to the HTML file's location on our Web server, and they don't work for
this user.

Any and all help will be appreciated!
