Could it be possible that the error is caused by "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml-lat1.ent"; not being invoked when the xml (xlmdoc.load)is loaded in ASP classic? The file contains entity references of the special characters. I am assuming that the XML is well formed since it is given to us by the vendor and we are not the only one using it. Is there a way in ASP classic that will call the aforementioned file so that the error will no longer occur? Erwin Rommel Y.
