Hi Kumar,
I will be doing the following steps to run .asp application in a browser
1) Create a folder - as you did. C:\intetpub\wwwroot\learn
2) Create Virtual directory by name "learn" in IIS and point this virtual
directory to the folder created in first step.
Right click on "Default web site", select New->Virtual Directory.
3) Make sure you have given Write, Directory Browsing, Read permissions to your
virtual folder.
4) Create .asp file(first.asp) using any of the editors and save this file in
the folder created in Step1
5) There are two ways you can run the application
   a) open IE, give url as http://localhost/learn/first.asp
   b) Open IIS, Click on your Virtual directory, In the right pane, right click
on the file (first.asp) and select "Browse" from the popup menu. File will be
opened in IE.

Hope i have clarified your doubts. Please let me know, if you need any more
clarifications.

Regards,
Sreenath.
