Type patterns are not allowed to be qualified with modifiers in any pointcut, not just within().
At least in "within" I can find some interesting applications of qualifiers (e.g., to generate declare errors whenever a non-abstract class is annotated as an abstract factory when implementing the corresponding pattern). Do you know why this is disallowed?
