AspectJ 1.8.7 is now available. Grab it from the eclipse download page: https://www.eclipse.org/aspectj/downloads.php
It is already in maven central too. The README is here: https://www.eclipse.org/aspectj/doc/released/README-187.html This release includes numerous bug fixes. The one new feature is dynamic weaver attachment which was contributed by Alexander Kriegisch (thanks!). The readme includes a sample showing how to use it. Enjoy!
