I am unclear how this got into the quoted message - but the cap fits; I am starting a new thread. > > On Fri, Aug 08, 2003 at 01:18:59PM -0700, J/ wrote: > > Actually as far as I can tell, nobody ever responds to anything on > > this list... > > Kind of scary. Bad news. I joined this list in the hope that my elementary aspell <queries|puzzles> might get an answer - since all I get from newsgroups is a deafening silence. So here is the first elementary query. I have successfully installed aspell-0.50.3 and everything works! However I can find no trace of any configuration files - either global or personal. Running "aspell dump config" displays a lot of interesting info; but, what if I want to change the current settings? No problem (other than where?) when there is a current sample - e.g. # local-data-dir descrip: location of local language data files # local-data-dir default: <actual-dict-dir> # local-data-dir current: /usr/local/stow/aspell/lib/aspell/ But what do I do with this (even if I understood the descrip): # master descrip: base name of the main dictionary to use # master default: # master current: And the following pair is also far from clear: # lang descrip: language code # lang default: <language-tag> # lang current: en_US # language-tag descrip: deprecated, use lang instead # language-tag default: !lang # language-tag current: en_US All pointers will be gratefully received.
