Its RAM based.

if it eats up too much RAM they may discard results.

Unfortunately your 200 trace.axd requests are stored in RAM, and if WP
restarts or RAM gets too full ASP.net may know this is a lower priority.

SIGH I wish trace.axd was disk or database based so it could store high
numbers of requests and survived restarts. Hopefully someone will write a
better disk based listener and offer it to community or sell it cheap.
