Hi Friend, 1. I have got Win XP Professional installed on my computer. My computer is 32 bit machine so I am installing X86 MS SQL Server 2005 Developer version. 2. While installing, I am selecting complete installation and Window authentication. 3. When installation starts, It runs perfectly and does not prompt any error. At end of installation it Red cross marks lot of options that states they are not installed. Following are the options that are stated as failure while installation: a. MSXML6 b. SQL Server Database Services c. Analysis Services d. Reporting Services e. Notification Services f. Integration Services g. WorkStation Components, Book Online and Development Tools 4. Now my computer has got XP Professional version 2002 with Service Pack 2. 5. I am installing SQL Server from CD and from local system. 6. Yes, I always restart my computer after each installation process. 7. I did not uninstall anything before. 8. I am logged as another User with all the Privileges of administrator. There is no security on the machine as it is my personal machine.
One thing, I have got MSXML6 already installed on my computer. Probably that is causing failure in installation of MS SQL 2005 developer X86 (32 bit version) version on my HP 32 bit machine with Win XP Professional 32 bit. Looking forward for your reply.
