Set AutoPostback property of the first dropdownlist to true. If you have the dropdownlist on the design page, then double click it to wire it to its SelectionChanged event. If your dropdownlist is added dynamically to the page then you need to wire it programmatically. In that SelectionChanged event, write code to populate the second dropdownlist according to the selection made in the first.
