[AspNetAnyQuestionIsOk] last_insert_id = 0

HI list

Im trying to get the last inserted user_id (integer - auto increment) using
the below sql:

Dim strSQL As String = "SELECT LAST_INSERT_ID() AS LAST_ID"

However, i only get '0'.

Why this happens? Pls help me here
