I found some intersting information on the net about this problem. It seems there are tons of people and flaming of .net about it. So I guess that is why they are going to fix that in 2.0. Basically my page that I am working on has a JOIN FORM that submitted will add that record to the database and then display the profile. Doing this in one page would be okay but what is the way to show the form when the page is first displayed and then when it is posted back HIDE it and display the results instead? I have a few ideas but would be interested in others opinions on it.
The first time the page is loaded it would show this: http://belchingtoadclan.gotdns.com/btcnet/JoinBTC.aspx Then when submitted it would display this assuming the validation passed: http://belchingtoadclan.gotdns.com/btcnet/ViewBTCMemberfromindex2.aspx?PlayingName=Belcherman[BTC] This would be there new member page and that it was completed. I have read about panels and literals etc............. I know a lot of you have already done all this with one page so I don't want to re invent the wheel. Any help would be appreciated. P.S It is my gaming clan that is 7 years old. If any of you play Half Life 2 Counterstrike Source your welcome to join or play with us on servers. Mike Belcher Have a nice day. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Carroll" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 10, 2005 4:01 PM Subject: Re: [AspNetAnyQuestionIsOk] Form wil not submit. > > wilsonWebform is 10 x easier than response.redirect solution no need > to loop through al form values and encode ete. plus ViewState makes it > with WilsonWebForm. > > > On Mon, 10 Jan 2005 15:50:17 -0500, > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> I guess there are options such as: >> >> 1.
