If you are new to refactoring, definitely "Refactoring: Improving the
Design of Existing Code".

Refactoring to Pattern presupposes you have/know the refactorings in
described in Martin Fowler's book.

also, I think a fairer statement would be to say that "Refactoring" is
aimed at Java developers since all the code (I"m pretty sure) in there
is Java code.
