Matt check out Masterpages. I know this will be part of asp.net 2.0 but you
can download and add in for 1.1. I think this will do what you are looking
for. Also if you are trying to just get say... header footer stuff look at
using usercontrols.  hope that helps.

Subject: [AspNetAnyQuestionIsOk] Templating with ASP.net

Hi all,

I'm working in C# and Visual Studio. When programming with PHP, I setup
a number of libraries that included classes for page generation.
Essentially, I set a variable for the page content, call a class that
generated the page, and the content was placed into the correct position.

Is it possible to either set-up Visual Studio to work with a template
for an entire site, or to implement a similar setup to my PHP solution
within ASP.net?

Please be aware that I am only a beginner in this, so an explanation of
the theory instead of just a code listing would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Matt
