Mark, I do all of my proxy class creation via VS.NET, like you, i am not doing it via code. The problem i was having was that i had not allowed addresses in the bypasslist,, along with the change in default proxy settings, were key for me. Our problem was that internally i could not connect the remote server, however, from home i could (it was a publicly accessible service).
