I have a slightly off topic question but frankly I don't know who to ask it
so I figured with as many smart people as there are on this list I would try
here. I have been asked to build an ecommerce site for
www.sweetsunshine.com <http://www.sweetsunshine.com/> .  I spoke with the
hosting company and they run the site on an apache web server which doesn't
even support perl. The person who owns the site is really good friends with
this host. They have told me to host the ecommerce part on another hosting
company that has "ecommerce set up" as they put it. Is there any
performance issues having all the links in the site resolve absolutely. So
instead of having <a href="index.aspx">home</a> have <a
href="www.sweetsunshine.com/index">home</a> The issues I see are it means
you have to have different links for test and production meaning different
aspx files or write a URL rewriter and they would have to buy another domain
name say. something like www.shop.sweetsunshine.com
<http://www.shop.sweetsunshine.com/>
