Hi Thanks to all of u who replied to the query.
I have solved the prob, best way of doing the job is
writing a custom validator on the user control .

Pass ur client argu this way
(object source, ServerValidateEventArgs args)
to ur server side code and indiacate

args.IsValid = true, false .....to take decision.

Cheers
AC

hi Champs,

please help me in following issue,

I have written a usercontrol with a textbox and a label,
which validate my business date,(some certain conditions are there ),

after validation if results false , i display some error msg on the label.

Now i am using that usercontrol from my .aspx page, where user putting value,
if they put any wrong value, error msg is displayed on the label.

after that if user click on submit button page is getting submitted,
Which i want to STOP.

Alternatively if validation returns true i want to receive the value in my
.aspx page,
but in user control the modifier of the textbox i dont want to make public, let
that be protected only.

Please help me to carry out the problem.

Regards,
Arindam
