on the pop up child window...you can access the parent window in
javascript with
window.opener
then point to some method
say
function doSomething(userSelected){
........
}

IN the child window when the user clicks his selection you can have an onlick
window.opener.doSomething(whatevertheuserselected);

your JS method can now either submit a postback leading to yhour
vb.net code, or you can use something like AJAX to dynamically get
your new data and fill the selections with javascript.
