Well. . . . . I did this in an Access module (VBA) but it isn't regex and to finish it off one needs to loop through what's left until running into a alpha and then makeing the split. Will the "1249V_S" always be the same length for each part? If that is the case, take the left side x number and take the right side x number. Going back to my regularly programmed day, now. cheers.
Function x() Dim strThis As String strThis = "For: Name-Location-40940, 1249V_S, 4120 City" strThis = Right(strThis, (Len(strThis) - InStr(1, strThis, ","))) strThis = Left(strThis, InStr(1, strThis, ",") - 1) MsgBox strThis End Function --- Eric Throckmorton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > OK, > What i have so far is: > (For:)(.*[\w]+\b,) -that pulls the line up > to: > For: Name-Location-40940, 1249V_S, (the second > comma) > > I have been trying through code and through the > regex to get this split and cannot. > Some help would be appreciated. > > Thank-you, > Eric > > > "Falls, Travis D (HTSC, CASD)" > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Capture each item leading up to the "," in a back > reference and then I would process the back > reference you need with another reg exp to split it; > tokenize it.
