I always have to struggle with writing regular expressions! I need a regular expression that detects "-" (minus sign) in a string, PROVIDED the string is not enclosed in brackets. For example: "[example]-5" should be found, but: "[ex-ample]*5" should not. I had not paid attention to the fact that [\s]*-[\s]* doesn't work until I found out the hard way (bug in the app).
Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Kathy ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get Bzzzy! (real tools to help you find a job).
