Using Source Control -
Speaker: Jeff Schoolcraft, Sytex Inc.
Maybe you haven't heard of source control, or have only used or
seen VSS. Maybe you think its too complicated and that you 100
backup folders are good enough to keep you and your code safe.
Maybe you've lucked out so far... your day will come. Come
learn what source control is, get exposed to the two main source
control philosophies, get a list of your options and see just how
miserable your life has been without tagging, branching and--in
general--source control.
Jeff Schoolcraft is a project manager that
refuses to give up code. He works for SYTEX Inc, primarily a
services consulting firm with interests almost exclusively in the
federal sector. He is the president of WinProTeam Vienna
usergroup, an avid consumer of .NET koolaid, and most
recently the very proud father of Keira, a beautiful little
angel with her daddy already wrapped around her
finger.
