Location: 8850 Stanford Blvd in suite 4000, Columbia, MD Presentation Description: A showcase of the powerful features of Microsoft(r) SharePoint(tm) Products and Technologies. The presentation will demonstrate how a SharePoint Portal Server solution publishes a consolidated view of the information pertinent to knowledge workers. Through personalization, integration and collaboration, SharePoint Products and Technologies allows teams to work together, duplicate best practices, make better decisions, and to receive the information and applications that are most relevant to them. The presentation will discuss the differences between WSS and SPS and highlight the use of Live Communications Server and Information Right Management in complementing the collaborative workspace. Extensibility of Sharepoint will also be discussed. Using ASPX pages and XML web Services, the combined framework of web parts and SmartPages brings all the information sources together for knowledge workers. Bio Justin Damelin is the Technology Specialist for the Business Productivity group at Microsoft Mid-Atlantic. He focuses on the adoption and education of the Microsoft collaboration suite of products. Prior to this position he worked as a .NET Developer Evangelist for Microsoft. Before joining Microsoft, he worked as a consultant and pre-sales engineer at several consulting and software firms both in the US and abroad.
