As a ASP.NET teacher, I agree that one night a week over a longer term is best for learning. However, I do not know of any programs like this in DC. You might consider a community college in VA or MD.
I suggest that you also check into the study groups. There is one in DC, VA, and MD last I heard. As for the language preference, I would suggest that you go with a more wholistic approach and study them both. Examples in both languages are common. If you are an experienced coder, the languages will not be an issue... it will be the CLR that will be the most interesting... and all managed languages share the commonality of the CLR. Dwight.
