Hi all,
Anyone have a recommendation on a reliable tool for monitoring IDE drive S.M.A.R.T. conditions? Preferably one that operates as a service on a w2k server. Long ago I switched to using mirrored drives but it'd be helpful to have a more active monitoring process instead of just waiting for drive failure. This, he says, after another 80gb drive bit the dust after 18 months. Granted, it was in a server box that ran 24x7 but one that only served a two users (me and Chris). I've seen ActiveSmart and, as an application goes, it's nice enough. I'm wondering what other tools folks have used. -Bill Kearney ------------------------ Yahoo!
