Software Engineer

This is a full-time position located in DC, metro accessible. NO
Sponsorship will be offered. Only applicants eligible to work in the US
will be considered. No relocation.
General Responsibilities:
The software engineer will assist in the execution of object-oriented
analysis and design activities and the implementation of the object and
data model. The software engineer will assist an on-site team that
develops new and maintains, troubleshoots and enhances operational
client/server and web-based applications. The technologies used include:
Oracle, VB.Net, XML, MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Office Automation.
Experience shall encompass all phases and components of the development
lifecycle, to include requirements elicitation, detailed design, and
quality assurance measures.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- BS or BA degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of graphical user interface software required.
- Experience with VB.Net development.
- Experience with MS Office application development using VBA.
Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
- The software engineer must have a thorough working knowledge of the
software development lifecycle.
- Qualified candidates must be able to work effectively in a team
environment and demonstrate good analytical, troubleshooting,
communication, and technical writing skills.
- Knowledge of VB.Net WinForm development.
- A high degree of motivation and commitment to meet project deadlines.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and remain highly productive.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
