We have an immediate opening for a Windows Systems Administrator. Job responsibilities: Installation, maintenance, and security compliance of computer systems running Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 operating systems, in support of a custom software development team. Some travel (5-10%) may be required.
Required: - Professional attitude, communication/teamwork skills - Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. - Minimum 2-3 years experience in Microsoft Windows System Administration -- or MCSE plus 1 year experience - Competence in Windows 2003 and Active Directory installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting - Competence in Intel PC server hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting - Competence in IP networking: Firewalls, routers, proxy servers, security logging, etc. Desired: - Knowledge of (or ability to quickly learn) DOD security requirements - Some software development experience (at a minimum, script writing, VBA, etc.) - Some UNIX System Administration experience - Experience with Windows clusters, especially SQL Server in a clustered environment Location: Arlington, VA.
