We have an immediate opening for a SQL Server DBA / developer. Primary job responsibilities: Design, Development & Maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 databases, including: schema design, schema version maintenance, Stored Procedure development, backups & restores, automated deployment, etc. as part of custom software development team.
Required: Professional attitude, communication/teamwork skills Able to obtain a Secret security clearance (DOD) Minimum 3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server -- or MCDBA plus 2 years experience Competence in Data Transformation Services Competence in T-SQL Stored procedure design and development Desired: Knowledge of (or ability to quickly learn) DOD database security requirements (e.g., C2 auditing) Experience with Microsoft SQL Server in a clustered environment Experience with large (greater than 1-TB) Microsoft SQL Server databases Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.NET Experience with database structural / performance optimization Experience with data warehousing / reporting schema design Location: Vienna, VA (Tyson's Corner). Work hours: 40hr/wk, normal business hours, but flexible. Type: Permanent fulltime position.
