ULFA was always in the international eye - esp. after it was declared a terrorist organizatioon by US. It should now take steps to improve its image - Actions speak louder than words.

The banned militant organisation United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) is angry on Italian media.
"It is an international conspiracy to malign us," said the ULFA mouthpiece 'Freedom' in its latest issue. The bone of contention is a media report on the Italian media over the ULFA peace process.
"On November 29 last, the media of Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s fatherland Italy reported that three days after Indian army launched Operation Balawan, the ULFA agreed for the peace talk. This is rubbish," said the mouthpiece.
According to the ULFA, it was an international conspiracy to derail the peace process at the nascent stage. "The main idea behind the news report is to defame the standing of the ULFA internationally and discourage the other organisation which are waging similar struggle for their own right," it said.
However, this is for the first time they have reacted to international news reports.
