Dear Mike

In those days nobody talked of green revolution. But Gandhi did more than that. He was indeed a Barrister-at-Law and started his practice in South Africa. But he became a different man. Now we're talking of organic food; in those nobody talked about it. But it is organic food India has been proudcing for centuries (not my discovery, it is what the experts here are saying). An environmental issues; it was Gandhiji who started it (for example, sewage disposal, cleanliness all around).

There are very few people who practise what they preach. For example, the top Labour leaders in UK talk of imparting the best education in State-aided institutions. However, they send their own sons and daughters to costly private schools. Gandhiji did no such thing. He was regarded as a great thinker by the great philosphers, contemporary as well as of all time to come. I felt proud when in a little village in France I saw a group of people in an interior market place with placards of Gandhiji's picture raised on placards: it was a peace rally.
I can add more about Gandhi without being a Gandhian but I stop here.
Bhuban
