Well just like many folks do not consider it in good taste that your students sprinkle words from other languages while speaking English -at an English medium school -similalrly I can appreciate this guy's concern for Hindi's purity. I would like to discuss only a part of this poser.
One has to use words from other languages when one's own medium does not
have the equivalent words. I personally use it profusely when I write in
Assamese, not that I write a lot in Assamese. Some time ago I read a Bengali
daily newspaper, I think it was the Ananda Bazar Patrika. I simply marvelled at
the ease the Bengali journalists use the Bengal equivalents of the English or
other foreign words. The Bengali language is indeed developed. In fact I am told
it is much more developed than the Hindi language which is the State language of
India enjoying huge patronage officially.
I think netters will agree that the Government of India also has done a lot
for the encouragement of the sister languages of India.
