After Chandan da wrote of him hearing about MPs recommending prison for Goswami, I did spend some time is trying to find out if this was just a rumor. After some searching, I DID find a reference about one MP suggesting as such. Now, I don't know if that news item itself is true or not, but nevertheless, it does seem that there was some news like that, so Chandan da could have just picked the news item. ( I tried to relocate the same item, I wasn't able to find it - sorry about that. If I do, I will send that link over) In any case, my take on this whole thing is, that no MP or Governor or any one should have that kind of authority (if an MP did recommend as such). I only take exception to some portraying her as a liason or a peace broker, which she is not.
