Senior minister and government spokesman, Himanta Biswa Sarma, claimed that the media did not project the incident properly and it was made to look as if society in Assam was divided. ''There is no divide in Assam's society as it has been tried to project'' Sarma said while condemning the incident. ''The incident was an aberration but it was a good sign that several community leaders had unanimously condemned the incident'', the minister said.
