Priyo Bondhu (http://www.priyobondhu.org/) is a non-govenmental organization registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 Vide RS/KAM(M)/263/L/456 of 2015-16 .
Priyobondhu ( http://www.priyobondhu.org/) is a society formed for a social cause. It was founded in 20th, November, 2015. Its primary objective is to aid and help the people in distress and under privileged sections of the society. It aims to usher the skills of the common. The society aims for good health, better livelihood and best education for all. Priyo bondhu’s story so far since inception (20th, November, 2015). 1. 13,December,2015- Warm clothes distribution and food to 120 poor destitute people dwelling in front of Surukeshwar temple, Guwahati, Assam, India. 2. 20th December,2015- Warm clothes distribution and food to 70 poor destitute people dwelling in Narengi slums, Guwahati, Assam, India. 3. 3rd January,2016- Warm clothes distribution and food to 55 poor destitute people dwelling in front of Siva dol, Sivsagar, Assam, India. 4. 10th January,2016- Warm clothes distribution and food with a free dental check-up to 22 inmates of Kalyan ashram (Old age home), Moran, Assam, India. 5. 26th January,2016- Warm clothes distribution and food to 170 poor destitute people colour pencils and notebooks at Fancy Bazar gate no 4 slums, Guwahati, Assam, India. 6. 7th February,2016- A get together feast at Seneh- Old age home, Kahilipara, Guwahati, Assam, India. 7. 14th February, 2016- Felicitating Veteran Artist Neelpawan Baruah and Veteran Singer Dipali Borthakur . 8. 21st February 2016- Aiding 100 kgs of food items to Destination- Mentally challenged people home, Bhagadattapur, Kahilipara, Guwahati, Assam. 9. 23rd February, 2016- The first step of Priyo Bondhu towards education. Bijulee - A little girl stays with her two elder brothers. After the death of her mother, her father abandoned them leaving them to strive alone for their livelihood. And now, Priyo Bondhu takes the responsibility to educate her and provide her with all essentials. She is now a student of Rajdhani primary school. 10. 28th February, 2016- Priyobondhu started its open air school with 70 children at Navodaya path, Hatigaon, Guwahati, Assam. 11. 6th March, 2016- Priyobondhu went on a cleanliness drive in a basti at Navodaya path, Hatigaon, Guwahati. 12. 8th March, 2016- Celebrating the power of Women; Priyobondhu, with the initiative of Founder Archana Borthakur,started its first Women empowerment mission. Aided by FICCI ladies organisation and IIE , Sewing machines has been provided to 3 beneficiaries viz. 1.Himani Baishya, Guwahati 2. Jaya Tanti, Nagaon and 3. Marami Murmu, Nagaon. 13. 13, March,2016- A community mobilization and clothes distribution program involving 120 persons was held at Medhipara village, Mangaldoi, Darrang, Assam, India. 14. 20th, March,2016- An awareness program on psychosocial development of children and clothes distribution was organized by Priyobondhu at Satimapara, Mohkhuli, Bahjani mouza, Nalbari, Assam. 15. 3rd, April,2016- Distribution of Educational equipments (School bags, pencils etc.) to 80 fire effected children at Bishnupur, Athgaon, Guwahati India. 16. 10th, April,2016- Launching of Priyobondhu’s CLOTHES BANK and FOOD BANK. 17. 17th, April,2016- Priyobondhu donates food items to 32 inmates of Mother old age home. 18. 1st, May, 2016- Priyobondhu flagged off PROJECT KNOW CANCER - A health awareness programme at Basisthapur bylane-3, Guwahati on May 1, 2016; specially for women on Breast, Ovarianand Cervical Cancer.
