It is the latest news from AP wire referring to unnamed sources in Dispur that Tarun Gogoi Government is also in favor of holding the AXX Lakhimpur Adhibeshan in both the venues--Goriyajaan and Petukajaan--which had been creating lot of bad blood among the local population. It is note worthy that local congress MP Rani Narah is the president of one of the organizing groups. Several ministers have been deputed to Lakhimpur and they had been camping in circuit house for the last few days. Absence of several ministers in Dispur is also cited by Cm Tarun Gogoi to postpone the executive meeting of Assam Pradesh Congress to review the Khumtai election results on Dec 27. As per the rule of AXX (section 7), the central committee can resolve the issue of venue; however the government is putting pressure on both the feuding parties.
