Hi,

I don't know whether you'll like it -but I was reading a book I purchased last December --by Maxim Gorky -"Mother".
I've just reached page 79 so far - out of perhaps 400 pages - it is not an easy read. About Russain socialist rebels who were trying to wake up the workers --to improve their lot
I agree to a point --but believe in open competetion - and the profit motive .

Read on ----
Yegor Ivanovich says, "- - - - if you start to grieve for all us rebels, granny dear. Life is not made very easy for us, I admit.  - - - -  - To be a revolutionary and to be married is a very inconvenient arrangement - inconvenient for the husband, inconvenient for the wife and in the end for the cause also!  I, too, had a wife, an excellent woman, but five years of this kind of life landed her in the grave."

--------------------------------------------------
For us capitalists -who try to keep away for the above mentioned ills --should also remember Shiv Khera - the renowned motivator --who says - in USA - and in India
"Those who do not oppose injustice are promoting it."
"When good folk sit back to save their skin --the dacoits rise to rule them" --or something to this effect.

Will we --poor countries --continue to sit silently and wait for the rich ones to slaughter us through unequal trade -- bargaining is a game of nerves -- Swami Vivekanad said --"develop nerves of steel"

I wonder.

Do u too??

Umesh
