Hello enlightened people,
I guess we are all feeling rather enlightened after this weekend!
In the true spirit of "Jonaki", I think our community shined over the
weekend in the eyes of many - the curious, the anxious, the skeptics, the
intellects, the ignorant, all alike.
From the red and white rhythms of "komor beka" that stick to your senses,
to the haunting eyes and taunting maneuvering
of the fingers in the spell-binding "xatria" dance, from the ever
popular rendition of the excitement and spirit of the season by the
now-seasoned local bihu dancers to the sketches, paintings and
displays that transformed the venue to a meusem-like setting - it was
all a fantasting experience and effort.
Thank you to all who made this
happen. And we wish Manoj a speedy recovery.
