Hi,

I have been asked to rewrite an Op-Ed piece perhaps becos too futuristic - and the generl public would not be able to comprehend how romantic and sexual liasons - and increasing % of STD cases --has a bearing on students' study time. I don't mind (though I was shocked initially) now that I have better info of local interests and school scene -some of which seems rather outdated -such as debate about having exit exams (Board exams required to pass high school) govt favors it - experts don't. Seems rather boring -- but then I have to pass the course.

Yesterday, there was case study in which New York passed a law for introducing education promoting tolerance -- when a black youth (Yusuf Hawkins) died in a white neighbourhood -- but it surprised nobody (except me) when the curriculum which was later introduced sopke only of excerpts from books like " Jim's two mommys" or "daddy's roommate" . One of the male classmate has a lesbian sister so was pro-gay education in grade one kids. Noone spoke that the curriculum should have included tolerance based on color (which is easily seen) or religion. that was 1991.

I had been thinking for some time -- that if the new law allowing gay marriage were to be made legal in US -- things would be much easier for marriage frauds to take place -- with guys having girlfriends in other countries --could legally acquire US citizenship --and then divorce their male room mates (who may really never have been gay --even their school friends from their country) and then bring their girlfriends to US -without a suspicion of treachery.
They could then avoid this scene:.

Isn't it wonderful that US things up such big loopholes?
