Two sentences caught my attention after a cursory glance over the article.
" For any informed choice to be made,the people must be educated"
" It is about electing rather than selecting at every step"
The GOI boasts of how we are now approaching a literacy rate ( a few calls it social infrastructure) of 70 percent.To which we really need to ask how they are measuring this.Usually anyone who can write his name is considered literate.But is this all we want in an age of computer literacy?
As far election is concerned,does it make any difference who wins? Or is there any point in voting when our choice is between bad and worse?
