Today while cleaning undergraduate classrooms I got a file. Since most of the classes are now empty Idecided to go through it. The guy made many editing errors in his presetation outline, which his professor noted . I might have added some more. His knowledge of geography is a bit rusty - the desert is in the west -- which starts in Rajasthan my home state and goes on to Saharana Africa.
He mentions that the civilization is atleast 10,000 years old. Now given the knowledge from last week 's NYT report that all Asians and Europeans came from Africa-via India 50,000 years ago --I was trying to conjecture whether they already spoke some language then. Maybe they did -- maybe it was like Sanskrit or Latin ---since both have lots of exactly same words.
Ofcourse it didn't have a written script -so would account for the current differenes in writing styles.
Couldn't a man or women have a spoken language 150,000 thousands years after they evolved into human beings (as per the report - man became today's man 200,000 years ago.)
If dogs and dolphins can communicate via some "words" and "sentences" --why not human beings -----who says that man was so stupid that he couldn't learn talk to one another for 190,000 years after becoming man. And that only in the past 5,000 to 10,000 years only man/woman has suddenly become very very very very brainy and inventive.
Does it seem far fetched?
