That is a very good point. In every place that I've been inside or outside the US, I never got a free shuttle (unless there was a flight that was cancelled without it being my fault :)) to or from the hotel.
Even in Houston it is not always free, and Houston is a relatively cheap place to live.
This is my kind of place, things being taken care of even befor you get into the hotel room. One of my colleagues just moved to the Villages after she and her husband took an early retirement to live in "The Villages" near Orlando, where you don't just "live", you also have fun throughout the year! After we look around the world, may be we will do the same and make it our home outside India.
