New NE air service on the cards

SHILLONG, June 13: Discussions on the introduction of a special North Eastern Airlines Service with two Turbo Prop (STOL) aircraft will figure in the High-level meeting of the NEC convened to review the annual plan for 2005-06. Informing about the review meeting slated for June 22 here, sources said, "the isolation of the region as a result of the reduction of air station links prompted the Council to list the issue in the agenda".
