Say what now? " Taslima has the right to live in West Bengal as an Indian citizen"---Indira Goswami,a recipient of India's highest literary award, told reporters recently.Is it a kind of special privilege,granted automatically, by virtue of one's falling in love with a country ( of which she is not a citizen)? What next? Come Bangladeshis and the relevance of laws simply dissolves? Her remark on the " right to _expression_" is correct,when she asserted that right to _expression_ is a birth right.But then,the so-called " righs" are not unbriddled or absolute in a democracy.One cannot step into a packed movie hall and scream " FIRE"---that is not a freedom of _expression_!!!
