Well, I would not class this strictly as
'corruption' or that is happening due to corruption in Indian society at
all. This is actually a crime (not corruption) which is being imported from
the western society. The question is what laws are there in the Indian
society to punish this or any type of crimes, and how efficiently the
justice is being executed against crimes. In any case this type of
crime is not the culprit of the Indian society. The culprit is the
corruption that follows after the crime. Indian society, because
of corruption will not be able to punish the culprit, in this or any other
cases, properly. As a result this or any new types of crime will spread
which results in lack of faith of the people in the system which follows more
corruption. In the western society they are able to execute proper justice (more
or less) against crimes because there is less corruption in the society.
Bottom line is unless we can control
corruption, we cannot control crime. It is vicious cycle. To stop the cycle,
society must change to create a system of accountability in the society. The
change must start at the bottom.
