Yahoo lists the number of groups it has by country/state/city. While browsing, one sees that India leads the list with 15,497. The rest of the countries China 1,358, USA 1,827 and so on). I did not see any other country cross the 2000 or 3000 mark. BTW: Assam has 84, while Guwahati has 22. Tamil Nadu has 2136, Andhra 1914, Maharastra 1721, Karnataka 1158. And Bollywood (listed separate) has 780 groups.
I was intrigued. What could be the reasons for this. Could it be that Indians have nothing better to do than discuss or have more time in their hands? Could it be that Indians are more tech savvy. And communicating this way is easier and cheaper.? Maybe netters can shed more light on this: Are we just group conscious? --Ram _______________________________________________ Assam mailing list [email protected] http://pikespeak.uccs.edu/mailman/listinfo/assam Mailing list FAQ: http://pikespeak.uccs.edu/assam/assam-faq.html To unsubscribe or change options: http://pikespeak.uccs.edu/mailman/options/assam
