Title: Re: [Assam] MYSTIC INDIA
Chandan:
See this movie and you will be doubly inspired to produce one based on Assam. Incidentally the movie shows Assam too. I wonder how was the documentary produced by Jhanu Barua on Brahmaputra. Anyhow if you want to produce one on Assam on this standard, you will get many supporters and may be we should pull our resources together. Recently I have noticed that coming from the old standard of Hindi movies, Indians are showing a growing maturity and artistry in many of recent productions. May be the new generation is kicking in. I say keep it up.

Good to learn that Rajen.

I am a big IMAX buff. Always wondered why there never have been a feature length one from India. My dream would be to see one on Assam and a fly-over of the Brahmaputra all the way to its source, in spate and in the dry season.

There has been an IMAX MOVIE Titled MYSTIC INDIA going on in Houston (Science Museum) and other cities in USA.
If you have not already seen the movie, I recommend strongly that you see the movie not only with your children, but may also take your cousins and uncles and American friends if any. In one sentence, the movie is grand, majestic and mystic, and shows the 'spiritual' India in all its colors through the 8000 mile walk of an eleven year boy across all over India in 17th  century. One does not have to be an India fan to appreciate the master editing, photography and the superb commentary of the movie. The narration by Peter O Tool has pushed the notch one degree higher. A must for every Indian and specially for their children.
