I just got the news that I received ASAM PRAKASHAN PARISHAD AWARD for my new Novel BHABA ANANDA SANGBAD, which I authored in July/2006 on the life of my then living father Principal Bhabananda Deka, which encompassed the social era in Assam between 1950 to 1970. The Education Minister of Assam announced this news on behalf of the Government of Assam on 30 Dec 2006.
