9th GPC Inter Media Cricket begins Guwahati: The 9th Guwahati Press Club Inter Media Cricket tournament begins today at Latashil playground in the city. The tournament was inaugurated by the veteran sports journalist Pulin Das. The founding president of Guwahati Press Club praised the initiative of the press club to organize the event, where media persons of the state take part with enormous fanfare.
The first day matches were won by Asomiya Khabar XI and Dainik Janambhuni XI. The Khabar XI defeated Photo Journalist Association by 98 run. On the other hand, The Sentinel XI lost to Janambhuni by 10 wickets. All together 16 teams have participated in the tournament. The final match of the championship is scheduled on March 17 next.
